2013On 20 July 2013 Colin Evers Chairman of the Forest of Dean Local Action Group (LAG) and Norman Stephens Chairman of the Forest of Dean District Council opened the new Adventure Maze at Elton Giant Mazes.

The Adventure Maze has 9 undercover activity areas designed for use by both adults and children so that families can play together. The activities include, traversing walls, tunnels, balance beams, giant spiders web, net crawls, monkey ropes etc, etc. It also has interactive quiz boxes and remote sensors, that can emit water mist sprays should the wrong answer be provided to the quiz questions.

The day also saw the opening of Elton Giant Mazes seasonal Maize Mazes whose theme this year is ON SAFARI with three mazes in the form of:

  • A Giant Elephant,
  • A Baby Giraffe
  • A Monkey.
All mazes are now open every day throughout the summer holidays.
